Sweet Talk

Dear Daughter of Day,

God says, “I have called you to saturate your lips with the sweetness of the Word. Let your speech be seasoned with love and encouragement. Keep your tone even and your demeanor in balance. Never be demeaning or tear anyone down. Instead, build them up with your words. It is a kind word that turns away wrath. I need my daughters to support one another and nurture the gifts and talents of your sisters. Glean from the wisdom of one another and admire each other’s beauty. I have called you to co-exist in this garden. I have called you to co-labor in the kingdom. You must live in genuine peace with one another so that my glory will be revealed.”

It’s Your Time

This is the excerpt for your very first post.

Dear Daughter of Day,

God says, “It is your time to begin again. I have turned back the hands of time in the spirit realm so that you can break forth into your new season without regret, worry or disillusionment about the past. From this moment forward your youth will be renewed as the eagle so that you may pick up and embrace all that was left behind while you move forward into your destiny.”

Be the Light

Dear Daughter of Day,

God is giving you a command in this season-Be the light. He is not telling us to be like anyone else or to get caught up in who the world wants us to be. He is saying, “Be the light.” Jesus knows a thing or two about being the light. When Jesus came into the world, He was referred to as The Light of the World.  In John 8:12 in the ESV version it says, “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jesus was comfortable saying I AM the light of the whole world. We all know that the world can be a dark place but He was comfortable and confident that He was called to eliminate the darkness. Now, He is calling us to walk in His footsteps and cast out that same darkness.  Yes, you can cast out the darkness of depression, fear, doubt, suicide, shaming, hate, feelings of unworthiness and loneliness, just to name a few.

In Matthew 5:14 He gives us a further description. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Now Jesus is referring to us as the light of the world as well. He said that we would do greater things than He did once He left the earth. He is entrusting us to not only the carry His light but to Be the Light. His instructions tell us not to hide our light. If we walk with joy and with an air of confidence in our God, we will draw others unto us. Then we can direct them to our God.

We can be the light in our homes, at our jobs and everywhere that we go. We can be the light by sharing a word of encouragement, offering a smile or giving a hug. If we hide our light or walk by someone without allowing God to move through us we may leave someone else in a dark place.  Everywhere out feet trod we can light up that path, that place or that point of contact. You may not be called to every individual but as you become sensitive to His Spirit He will show you who to reach out to on your daily journey. When the opportunity is there, take it!

If everyone follows this command there will be more light than darkness in this world.

Are you ready to follow the command and answer the call to Be the Light?

It’s Daytime!

Dear Daughter of Day,

I feel impressed to let you know that it is daytime! This is the time when the sun is shining and everything that was once covered in darkness becomes light again and visible. God is ready to increase your visibility in this season. He is ready to expose you to the world. He is ready to expose and display what He has put on the inside of for this time in your life. He is calling you away from cowering down and covering up who you really are.

Although there have been many storms and you have overcome many obstacles, the cloak of covering yourself from the rain is no longer needed. Release yourself to walk out your destiny. Daytime is a time when you live in your true calling and purpose, covered and protected by the Lord. Believe that He has you covered in this season under the spiritual umbrella of His protection. Do not worry if you will be received by others but instead receive this season of light.

3 Tips for Daytime:

1.Seek God and ask Him to give you three things you should focus on accomplishing in the next 3 months

2. Maximize your progress by focusing your time in these areas and manage your time wisely. Complete essential projects in 40-45 minute time blocks.

3. Stay away from those people, things, thoughts or memories that cause you to focus on your night seasons. Night seasons are the times when things were rough. Reaching your goals was unattainable because the issues of life got in the way and blocked your visibility to see your next step in the process of goal accomplishment.

Setting Goals-Setting goals will help you to be in control of your time. This way you will you know what you want to accomplish. Use my goal setting Rule of T.H.U.M.B.B.©  to help you set effective goals. Make sure your goals are:

Time Sensitive, Honest, Unwavering, Measurable, Beneficial, Balanced

First, it is important to note that all goals MUST be written down or they are just a hope. To follow the Rule of T.H.U.M.B.B.© make sure your goals have a time/date of completion. Make sure that you are honest about the goal that you are setting. Is this a goal that is true to your desires, beliefs, values and priorities? Is this goal something that you honestly want to achieve? You should also be unwavering in accomplishing the goal that you set. Make sure that you have the determination and resolve to overcome the obstacles that will, without a doubt, show up along the way. You must expect obstacles and be prepared to get around them. Your goal should be measurable and specific so that you will be able to determine that the goal has been met.Making sure the goal is specific and measurable holds you accountable. Finally, the goal should be beneficial for you and your purpose and promote balance in your life.

This is the time to develop your plan to utilize your gifts to shine for the kingdom of God. The best time to get things accomplished and achieve goals is…Daytime!
