Fear Cannot Rule

Mental Wellness is affected by the fear-based approach to life. When we are more influenced and driven by our fears, we live in a constant state of underachievement and anxiety, which abuses our mental hygiene. How well you manage negative fear-based thoughts affects your progression in life. Fear keeps us bound and often boundaryless. If you are afraid of adverse outcomes from your actions, you will be indecisive and let life lead you instead of directing your experience. If you are scared to say no to others and focus on always pleasing others, you will limit yourself by the opinions of others.

There is an adage that says, “you treat people how to treat you.” I want to add to that by stating, “you let fear know how much it can push you around based on your response to it.” The more we respond to fear, the more we invite it to take over. There is normal, appropriate fear, such as whether or not to ride a roller coaster or spiders. So, if you are at an amusement park, you must decide to ride or hold the bags of someone who does. If this thought of getting on the roller coaster consumes you and your constant thought becomes all of the bad things that can happen to you if you get on, then you have given the fear control.

Having a fear of spiders could be very typical. It may not be as harmless if the vision of a spider terrifies you or causes you to begin to go out of your way to avoid making contact with one. Then you could be experiencing a phobia such as arachnophobia. Phobias can cause irrational thoughts and allow fear to have a seat on the throne of your life.

Have you ever allowed fear to control you? Fear tends not to be a guest. If you invite fear into your life, it will become the host, and you will be led around by it. Fear controls, although it may appear comforting if it becomes habitual.

Have you allowed fear to rule your decisions or guide your life?
Now is the time to put fear in its proper place!
